MDTs provide the opportunity to listen to Dharma talks of venerable monks and Zen masters from Korea and elsewhere, and to practice presiding over Buddhist rituals in English which is aimed at building the capacity of IDIA members to propagate Buddhism.
Furthermore, they offer joint training programs such as recitations from Buddhist scriptures in English, and provide a forum for participants to share their own experiences in international propagation and to practice Buddhism.
English is used to help build the capacity of IDIA members to propagate Buddhism.
MDTs are open to the public which aims at fostering cultural exchange with foreigners residing in Korea and anyone else who is interested in traditional Korean culture and Buddhism. Unless there are conflicting schedules with other IDIA events, MDTs are usually held on the third Saturday of each month.
